How it Works
Description
Event Description:
This event is for overworked, stressed workers looking for a simple creative outlet. A good balance of design and color helps but not necessary. We guide everyone through the steps equally. They finish with an amazing 8 x 8 glass plate that they can't believe they did in 3 hours. It is signed and lacquered, ready to give as a gift or keepsake. Many return to take this process to the next level.
Event Itinerary:
- We'll start by reviewing samples and pictures of my students work.
- We'll then pick a design from the sample pictures i supply along with the glass plate.
- After this we'll cut out the design and glue the design to the reverse side of the glass plate.
- We'll clean the unglued areas of the glass plate, and then sponge metallic paint in the unglued areas.
- We'll then paint the background color, and sign and lacquer the finished plate.
- Finally we wrap the plate and leave with the finished work.
What You Will Make / Go Home With:
Each guest will go home with:
- Their own art under decoupage finished plate.
About the Instructor:
I do the instruction and work individually with each person. I have many reviews on Coursehorse as to my ability and passion. I am an accomplished glass artist and have been represented by 2 Galleries for 8 years Scottsdale and Sedona Arizona. I do landscapes of the Southwest on glass plates and vases. I have been doing this art for 12 years and teaching 4 years.
About the Venue:
This event takes place in a clean, private, spacious studio in Mid Manhattan.
Cancellation Policy
Moderate: This provider allows for cancellations with a full refund to occur 1 week or more in advance of the event. Cancelling within a window of less than 1 week will result in an inability to be refunded.
Changes Policy:
Moderate: You will be able to make changes to your group size up until 1 week as long as you meet the provider minimum. You will also have up until this period to make additional accommodations for the event

I would recommend this class to anyone: as a lovely way to spend an afternoon and come away with a fully completed piece OR to learn so you can do it yourself at home. The teacher is warm and supportive and a talented artist. Very accessible and enjoyable class.

I had a great experience with Lucy learning her decoupage technique. She supplied all the materials and I left with a plate that I will enjoy having and will serve as a reminder of my learning experience. I hope to take a few more classes with her and then give it a try on my own. It's fun. Try it.
