Description
Event Description:
Create your very own block pattern print on one yard of fabric!
Participants should come with a 4"" square image or two that you would like to work with. Simple designs work best, and then you can add detail as you carve away. If you have carved before, and are up for a challenge, mention you would like to do a two color design.
A quick carve ""Block"" all tools are provided, as well as textiles samples pieces and papers. Participants will get a large kitchen towel 38""x 38"" and be able to print on our textile print table their repeat pattern. You are welcome to bring your own materials to print on too, as it can get pretty addictive. This class is a lot of fun, and you will be able to leave with your block, so you can continue printing on your own!
Event Itinerary:
- We start with a a bit of history about the process and introduction to the materials
- We then get right into carving out our blocks!
- Once blocks are carved, we'll use them with our inks to create a pattern on the fabric provided

Each guest will go home with:
