Event Description: 

Anyone can improvise. You do not need to be "fast on your feet" or funny.

Through a series of safe, supportive exercises, this workshop will teach your team members better listening skills, out-of-the-box thinking, brainstorming, and collaboration skills. It will also have them laughing non-stop.

About as much fun as you can have while learning to communicate, connect, and stretch your creative muscles..

Event Itinerary: 

1. Guests will begin with several ice-breaker exercises that show them they can safely make a creative choice. 
2. We will learn the power of the phrase "yes-and," which teaches us to add on to each other's choices rather than negate and criticize.
3. We will then learn how to tell individual and group stories using yes-and.
4. After this we'll go over how to see any situation from a different angle.
5. We'll then successfully create mini-dramatic scenes from a single suggestion.
6. Next, we'll brainstorm together, literally cheering each other's ideas.
7. We'll close with goodbyes and any final questions.

About the Instructor: 

Carl Kissin has performed more than 4,000 shows for one of the country's premier sketch and improvisational comedy groups, Chicago City Limits. He was the show's head writer and director of their National Touring Company.

About the Venue: 

This class is scheduled to take place at Shetler's Midtown Studios, but if would prefer this to take place in a neighborhood more convenient to you, please let us know when requesting to book. An additional fee may apply depending on neighborhood.

This workshop can also happen at any office/home.
