Event Description

Unleash your inner ninja turtle at this handmade pizza party!

In this class you’ll learn how to make pizza from scratch, from choosing the best flours to selecting the perfect topping combinations to mastering the secrets to a crisp, bubbly crust. You’ll also learn a bit of pizza history, including its early beginnings, regional pizza variations in Italy and some other tidbits. Then we eat!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in,  Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.

Event Itinerary

  1. Guests will arrive and be greeted by the chef/instructor, and may order any drinks they’d like to have during the class (purchased separately).
  2. The chef/instructor will introduce themselves and give some background information on what will be cooked or prepared.
  3. You’ll then split into groups of 2-4 and each group will be given step by step instructions by the chef/instructor
  4. You’ll get to enjoy your creations and are welcome to hang out at the venue and continue to order drinks or food!

What You Will Make / Go Home With

  • Italy's well known pizzas, Pizza Margherita. It is a typical Neapolitan pizza, made with tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil, salt and extra-virgin olive oil.

What others have said about this event

A really fun, interactive experience! Very patient instructor too. Would definitely recommend for a date night
Sorry to ruin the pizza party, but this was very disappointing. First, you prepare the pizza in pairs, so not everyone get to actually make the dough, which is the only thing to learn/practice here really. Second, it takes place in a very un-inspiring venue, at a hotel room - nothing that says cooking or pizza about it. No vibe or atmosphere. Thirdly, I can't say that the organizers were especially kind, fun or eager to share their knowledge (more like let's get it over with). Finally, the pizza we made tasted and looked exactly like a frozen pizza you heat up in the microwave. So, did I learn no prepare good pizza? no. Was it a fun evening regardless? Nope.

Fun and educational! The pizza was delicious and I can't wait to try my new skills and make it at home!

I thought this glass was good overall. I was disappointed to pay for 2 tickets but yet only make one pizza. They should have made mini pies so everyone could make one and fully participate. The teacher was great though.
Overall, a good classs.

I didn't love the instructor. She was kind of rigid. The pizza was fine-nothing special. My parents had fun since this was a holiday gift.
Class is too big for one instructor. Need more explanation in details and know how! Didn't get to see the oven baking part.

Was pretty simple and straightforward.. don’t think I learnt much.. the pizza wasn’t that good (but might have been on us rather than the instructor)
Maria was very personable! She conducted the cooking class with professionalism and her deamonor was to the point and very encouraging. She demonstrated and she spoke and talked with each chef (i.e., the registrants) personally. The pizza was delicious!

This was a very positive learning experience. Maria was a good instructor. I would most likely enroll in another one of her classes

We had such a fun time at this pizza making event! Chef Maria made the directions easy to follow, and she was extremely knowledgeable. We learned helpful tips and tricks, and our pizza was very yummy!

Although I was a little late I caught up and mastered my pizza with my boyfriend... with pizza being his favorite food this was really a fun and great experience!!
Great class. The instructor was patient and very informative. End result, delicious pizza! Definitely going to take another cooking class.

The instructor was great but the set-up was not. She had to yell to be heard over “The Friends” trivia going on around the corner from us.

Chef Brian was great, knowledgeable and entertaining. I would recommend to friends

Instructor was very informative. Thank you.
Did this as a work team building event and we had a blast. Maria is very knowledgeable and makes it easy for a chef at any level to make a delicious pizza.

The Pizza Party was so fun! We sat next to a really nice couple and enjoyed the step by step process. Maria gave historical tidbits behind pizza and the recipe overall. The pizza itself was good, too!!!!
Loved it!
The class was great and the instructor was patient and helpful. Me and my dad showed up pretty late and we were well accommodated. I’m deducting one star because the glass size is large for the amount of space we’re given.
Great setup, all ingredients were fresh. Maria gave a couple of pro cooking tips that were great, maybe just a little less talking would help to keep the event running on time.
