Description

In this class, students will learn how to choose images and text for their art, cutting techniques, gluing types and use, layering the project with as assortment of mediums, balance, form, combining colors, adding found objects etc. in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Mixed media collage is the utilization of more than one medium in a single piece of art and may include paint, glitter, crayons, fabric, magazine/book images/quotes, found objects, ink, watercolor, oil pastel, chalk pastel, colored pencils, etc. 

Materials Needed to Fully Participate:

• A surface to create on may include any of the following: cardboard, heavy-weight paper, canvas or wood.
• Paint and brushes or palette knives
• Magazine, book images and/or quotes
• Scissors
• Glue. My favorite stick glue is Elmer's clear stick glue or for liquid glue clear gel glue

• Small found objects
• Ink
• Watercolor
• Oil or chalk pastel
• Colored pencils
• Glitter
• Crayons
• Fabric

Cancellation Policy:

• We cannot provide refunds for events where materials have been shipped. 
• Cancel your event for free if you provide at least a 2-week notice. 
• Cancellations less than 2 weeks out will result in a fee of 50% of the minimum deposit amount. 

Additional Notes:

• If you don't know your final headcount, place a hold on your date by booking the minimum group size (10 people). We'll collect the full payment after you finalize headcount.
• We host events on Zoom and can accommodate other platforms. 
• We do not permit or provide event recordings. Our events are best enjoyed as live interactions.
• If you'd like to customize your event, additional fees may apply.
