Description

This is without a doubt the most essential cooking class you'll ever take! You will learn how to slice, dice, julienne, and much more in the safest and most efficient manner. Make your every day prep faster and fun, learning how to use a knife like professional chefs do.

Materials needed to fully participate:

  • A chef knife
  • Cutting board
  • 1 Vegetable peeler
Vegetables, preferably the following but whatever you have around the house will work:
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Large Carrot
  • 1 Bell Pepper
  • 1 Potato
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Cancellation Policy:

  • We cannot provide refunds for events where materials have been shipped. 
  • Cancel your event for free if you provide at least a 2-week notice. 
  • Cancellations less than 2 weeks out will result in a fee of 50% of the minimum deposit amount. 

Additional Notes:

  • If you don't know your final headcount, place a hold on your date by booking the minimum group size (10 people). We'll collect the full payment after you finalize headcount.
  • We host events on Zoom and can accommodate other platforms. 
  • We do not permit or provide event recordings. Our events are best enjoyed as live interactions.
  • If you'd like to customize your event, additional fees may apply.  

Pricing

  • $340 for up to 10 people
  • $20 per person thereafter
  • If you don't know your group size, select "I don't know" in the group size field to pay the minimum deposit and secure your date. We'll finalize your payment when you've finalized your headcount.
  • If you're booking multiple events or for a group over 50, contact us for custom staffing and pricing.

Super helpful class that covers the basics of kitchen knife skills. The instructor answers everyone's questions, is willing to repeat demonstrations if asked. Obviously not the same experience as it'd be in person, but didn't miss too much of a beat with it being an online class

The class was exactly what I wanted: a basic introduction to knife skills. I'd suggest doing 4 vegetables instead of 5 just to go a little slower through the process. There's a lot more to learn that I expected. Chef Guillermo was great-- organized and thorough.

I learned a lot during this class, and am so glad I took it! The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars is because there wasn't as much time as I would've liked to practice throughout the class, which is just to say I would have loved perhaps a 1.5 hour class. The chef was absolutely wonderful though and really filled every minute of the time we had!

Guillermo was a great instructor; detailed, patient, thorough, and very entertaining. The class covers the basics and you end up with a decent grasp of the concepts. My only advice is to buy more supplies than suggested, so you can try out all the methods multiple times and test your skills after class is done. At least I could fry up my work for lunch afterwards.
